Weckmann Consort and vocal ensemble ProMusicaViva

At the center of this program are polychoral works by Giovanni Gabrieli, Heinrich Schütz, Matthias
Weckmann, Thomas Selle and Rudolf Ahle. These sound in the monastery church St. Urban sometimes from the
different balconies down, sometimes from the organ loft, sometimes around the audience. In the
Stadtkirche Sursee, too, we create a unique experience of music in space by means of different setups and the inclusion of the spatial
conditions.
In addition to the baroque works, contemporary works by Arvo Pärt, Knut
Nystedt and Erik Esenwalds are heard, which contrastingly expand the sound spectrum and make the sound space experienceable in a new way again
