"A passion for regional music history and cosmopolitanism are not mutually exclusive."

This is the motto of the Hamburg Baroque Orchestra Elbipolis. Under the direction of Jürgen Gross, the orchestra brings two soloists who are praised for their musical sensitivity as well as their scholarly meticulousness.

For the project featuring Leopold Mozart's Serenata and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Harpsichord Concerto Wq 43, GlossArte is staging a concert in which orchestra musicians themselves become soloists (trombone, harpsichord), presenting the instruments and the musical background of the music and the instruments in so-called ImPuls concerts. This allows the audience to immerse themselves in the world of past musical styles.

"The splendor of Berlin's musical life unfolded after 1744/45 with over forty instrumentalists. The royal chapel was one of the largest orchestras in the German-speaking world and, with important instrumentalists and composers such as Carl Philip Emanuel Bach, it soon became one of the best orchestras." From Leopold Mozart, Riesenberger (2019), p. 267
