Spring Festivals

Spring Festivals
A concert to combat spring fatigue

Spring: It is a global phenomenon, but one that is perceived and experienced very differently in different regions of the world. While we in the cool north meditate quietly on delicate blossoms and the first ladybugs, spring is traditionally welcomed a little more loudly in many countries in the south: with dancing and street festivals, rousing rhythms and fiery love songs — and often quite a lot of pyrotechnics...

Would you like a sample?
Unfortunately, for fire safety reasons, we, the Concierto Ibérico ensemble, have to do without pyrotechnics. But apart from that, our program of music from Renaissance and early Baroque Italy and Spain promises you a very authentic impression of southern European springtime and festive joy. And with flute, guitar, trombone, theorbo, harpsichord, and organ, we'll also show you how to celebrate a sunny spring day as a little escape from everyday life—to mercilessly put an end to your spring fatigue!

This event is part of Bremen's World Book Day celebrations.

Don't miss the concert!
