Weckmann Consort and vocal ensemble ProMusicaViva

This program focuses on polyphonic works by Giovanni Gabrieli, Heinrich Schütz, Matthias
Weckmann, Thomas Selle, and Rudolf Ahle. These works will be performed in the monastery church of St. Urban, sometimes from the
various balconies, sometimes from the organ loft, and sometimes surrounding the audience. In the
Stadtkirche Sursee, we will also create a unique experience of music in space through various arrangements and the use of the spatial
conditions.
In addition to the Baroque works, we will perform sound-painting contemporary works by Arvo Pärt, Knut
Nystedt, and Erik Esenwalds, which contrastingly expand the sound spectrum and allow the sound space to be experienced in a new way
